Yeah, right!
I suppose the Las Vegas ER doctor was correct in the sense that I would not die without surgery… but I sure as heck won’t heal without it.
Clavicle (going to get plated):

Proximal radial head (elbow, being left alone):

Distal radial head (wrist, in a splint for the next 6 weeks):

I go under the knife next Thursday, Feb 5th, with Dr. Richard Angelo. Being back in the saddle in time for WMRRA in April is “possible” – here’s hoping!

I think that was the single worst crash I’ve had the displeasure of witnessing while riding on the track. I was about 10 feet behind Chris going down the front straight at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and must have missed his tumbling body and bike by just a couple feet as I swerved to avoid them. Plus knowing that it was you made my heart sink instantly.
I was so happy to see you sitting up (although in massive pain) when I came around the track. And now I am glad to hear that it sounds as if you will not be missing any race rounds due to this!!
Good to see your gonna be back on the bike again. The accident was unfortunate but its good to see that you’ve recovered so quickly !
